Acushla
Acushla
met and were formed out of the lively Traditional Irish Music sessions in
Nottingham and other parts of the East Midlands. They have all played in a
variety of bands in the past and they bring their expertise and commitment to
this new group. They play music from all parts of the Celtic world and songs
from traditional and contemporary sources. Listen to music played with good
taste and energy! Jigs and reels, songs and airs, traditional, contemporary,
original and renovated – the full gamut of material is on offer, and whether it
is a touching ballad or a rollicking set of dance tunes Acushla are the band to
do the business!

Belzebub
Belzebub
is a group of talented and experienced musicians, who specialise in the music of
England, Scotland, Ireland and America. The band members have been performing
folk songs and dance tunes for over 30 years and have a wealth of experience,
which they put into practice at folk clubs and ceilidhs. They have just
completed recording their second album called 'Reformation'. Belzebub is one of
the Midlands' leading folk and ceilidh bands and play Devilish good music! >website<
Five Go Off
Five
Go Off are a band of musicians based in Nottingham. Their music is based in
English and Celtic traditional but Five Go Off love to include other musical
influences; you may hear strains of Jazz, Old Timey, Middle Eastern, Balkan,
Americana and more, all improvised into melodies and rhythms to enhance the
performance. The four-piece band plays acoustic instruments including guitars,
fiddle, mandola, flute and saxophone to give the music with a traditional feel,
together with bass and sometimes drums to provide an exciting, driving sound.
Five Go Off will be finishing the Sunday evening activities with tunes and songs
joined at times by friends from the Festival.
