Wheeler Street combine all the excitement and enthusiasm of youth with terrific musicianship, great vocals and imaginative arrangements of both original and traditional songs and tunes.

Although all the members of the band now live in the Maidstone area they bring to the sound influences from all around the UK and further afield. Ben comes from Newcastle and is of Irish parentage, Toby and Jon both have Scottish as well as English blood and Sophy was born in Australia and is also half Scottish.

The band works so well because each and every member is fiercely passionate about the music they play and are committed to playing and singing with integrity and with utter respect to the tradition, but they also LOVE a good time and they are one of the most entertaining and fun bands that are currently on the folk scene.
