Fay Brotherhood, winner of last years open mic competition has been invited to perform at this years festival, alongside her recent addition of fiddle/mandolin player Lee Burns. Together, they play earthy, gutsy pagan folk music, ranging in subject matter from local history, to mythology and folk lore and the natural world, rooted strongly in the English folk tradition. Fay Brotherhood’s distinctive voice, and emotive melodies are given a ‘medievaesque’, ethereal dimension by the fiddle and mandolin work of Lee Burns.
