Trí is Irish for three, appropriate for a band with three members, three fiddle players, three bodhran players…etc. All three members have been active as solo folk musicians in their own local clubs and festivals for some time. They have a shared love of Irish Traditional music but are also open to other musical influences. The band, which this year was nominated for the BBC Young Folk Award 2012 Finals, has established a reputation for fresh, energetic sets at festivals and guest nights.
